Big Stax 500 (Day 2): Matt Mac Out
Level 22 - Blinds 10,000/20,000/3,000
Matt Macaroni (Hamilton Square, NJ) had been grinding the short stack basically the entire day, and just picked the wrong spot to try and double up. His Q J was dominated by A Q, and he would be sent home in 20th place ($1,986). After the next elimination we will have another redraw, and we will then bring you assignments and chip counts.

Big Stax 500 (Day 2): Crazy Plays
Level 22 - Blinds 10,000/20,000/3,000
At Table 65 sit both Frank Conti and Ragavan Thiagarajah, both with about 1,500,000. Conti has opened the pot, and watch as Ragavan three bet to 200,000. Frank's next action was declaring himself all-in, and Ragavan went into the tank. Conti's total count was just over 1,500,000, and this would be by far the largest pot of the night if Ragavan was to make the call. He ended up folding, and Conti showed K Q (off), drawing some interesting reactions from the rest of the table.
Big Stax 500 (Day 2): Back From Break
21 players just returned from break with the blinds in Level 22 at 10,000/20,000/3,000.

Big Stax $550 6-Max: Dinner Break...Huge Bluff
Players are now on a (75) minute dinner break, but the last hand before the break drew a crowd. On a board of:
Asher Conniff's opponent checked (after check-calling the flop and turn), and Conniff put his last 70,000 in the middle. His opponent tanked...and it was for a while (easily 5-6 minutes). He eventually folded, and everyone crowded around the table was looking for Asher to show. He wasn't going to until we agreed to put it right on the blog. Conniff tabled 8 2 (off) and gave the crowd something to talk about.

Big Stax 500 (Day 2): Martin Takes Bad Beat
Level 19 - Blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000
Nancy Martin (Washington Crossing, PA) had three-bet Renata Colache's opening raise to 75,000, and when the action folded around, Rentata made the call:
Colache would check to Nancy, who would then bet 100,000. Renata went into the tank, but eventually went all-in (Nancy had a little over 110,000 behind). Martin made the call and the cards were tabled:
Colache gained some more outs on the turn, but spiked one of the two last sevens in the deck. Martin goes out in 35th ($1,317), while Renata chips up to over 700,000.

Players will be going on a (10) minute break at the end of this level. When they return the blinds will increase to 5,000/10,000/1,000 in Level 19.
Big Stax 500 (Day 2): Bubble Bath
Level 18 - Blinds 4,000/8,000/1,000
Jason Rivkin (Eatontown, NJ) was two away from the money in the Big Stax 300, and has now just stone bubbled this event. He got his chips in good with J J against A Q, and kept the lead through the flop and turn. Unfortunately for Rivkin a queen spiked the river, and he would once again feel the anguish of bubbling an event in this series.
The remaining 45 players are all guaranteed $1,122, and we should see a handful of bustouts now, as the other short stacks have faded the bubble.

Level 18 - Blinds 4,000/8,000/1,000
We are down to 47 players now as Stephanie Hubbard knocks out local pro Joe Palma (Bensalem, PA). All the chips got in on the turn, on a board of J 10 5 K, with Palma holding K 10 (suited) and Hubbard K K. Joe was drawing dead when the hands were tabled, and Hubbard would chip up to over 800,000.
As this post was being written, one more player was busted, and we are now hand-for-hand.

We walked over to Table 67 just as Stephanie Hubbard had called a three-bet all-in from an opponent, and the cards were tabled (all-in amount was roughly 65,000):
That's one way to crack aces, as Hubbard began calling for diamonds on the flop. She wins the pot as her opponent walks away dejected, chipping up to 450,000 (50 players now remain).

Big Stax 500 (Day 2): Early Exits
Level 17 - Blinds 3,000/6,000/1,000
Right before registration closed last night, both Kyle Bowker and Allie Prescott bought into the event, hoping to run up the 40,000 starting stack. They happened to be seated directly next to each other after the table draw, and both ended up showing up late. They missed their blinds and were even shorter when they finally sat down. Both have been knocked out in the opening stages of Day 2, so the plan didn't seemingly work out as thought.

Gotta feel bad for the other players at Table 68, as Jonas Wexler and Ragavan Thiagarajah sit next to each other. They came into the day first and third in chips.
Big Stax 500 (Day 2): Level Up

Big Stax 500 (Day 1C): Taking A Glantz
Level 15 - Blinds 2,000/4,000/500
Matt Glantz took the path less chosen, as he decided to enter about 20 minutes ago. He sat down with a little over 7 big blinds, but has made the most with his chance so far. He now sits with about 125,000 in front of him, and has set himself up nicely to run it up over the next hour.
