Big Stax 1500 (Day 1B): Ippolotta Chips
Level 14 - Blinds 1,500/3,000/400
At Table 62, Matt Brady started the action with a raise to 7,200. Rocco Luciano (hijack) and Michael Stucchio (button) called behind. Jennifer So folded the small blind, and Peter Ippolito three bet from the big blind to 26,000. Brady then folded, and Luciano and Stucchio made the call:
Ippolito fired out a bet of 31,000, and after Rocco folded, Stucchio threw in his remaining 29,000:
Ippolito would chip up to 130,000, while Stucchio would be sent to the rail (he bought back in minutes later).

Big Stax 1500 (Day 1B): Laying Low
Level 13 - Blinds 1,200/2,400/300
In a smaller sized field like today, it's pretty difficult to go unnoticed when you have chips. John Lakatosh (Red Lion, PA) managed to go almost three quarters of the day under the radar, but he now has the largest stack in the room (240,000). John is another local pro who has numerous wins and cashes on record. His lifetime earnings sit at $312,000, but he does not have one here at Parx. His largest cash to date is from 2006, in a $1,000 NL event during the Borgata Summer Open.

Big Stax 1500 (Day 1B): ***Overlay Alert***
There are currently 125 player entered into this main event, with a total of 344 needed to make the $500,000 guarantee. The big question now is will we make the number? It's well known that players will go out of their way to catch a tournament with an overlay, especially one with this possible number. We will keep you updated on the numbers throughout. With only Day 1C remaining as the full day of play left, it should be a nail biter.
Big Stax 1500: Back From Dinner

Big Stax 1500: New Chip Leader
Level 9 - Blinds 500/1,000/100
The field will finish this level before heading off to dinner for (75). At the current moment, our chip leader for Day 1B is Carter Sparacio (170,000). Late registrants continue to head to the clubhouse room, including Terry Grimes and Allie Prescott. Prescott (Memphis, TN) has just under $900,000 in career earning, with only one six figure cash. It's a true testament to solid play, and continuously going deep and cashing in numerous tournaments.

Big Stax 1500 (Day 1B): 6-Max Champ Joins Field
Level 7 - Blinds 300/600/100
It's a quick turnaround for our $550 6-Max Event winner Kyle Bowker (Walton, NY), as he joins today's field. Bowker took home $13,966 for his win yesterday, and impressively came back from a 10 to 1 chip deficit when it was heads up. Bowker bested Joe Commisso heads up, and although we've seen Joe in the poker room, it's yet to be determined whether or not he will be playing in this event.
Right now the chip leader in the clubhouse room is Rocco Luciano (Philadelphia, PA) with just under 150,000.

Big Stax 1500: More Players Flowing In
Level 5 - Blinds 200/400/50
While yesterday we saw many well known pros, today we are seeing more local tournament pros. Two that just walked into together:
Rocco Luciano: Rocco is a tournament tournament pro from Philadelphia with just under $50,000 in career earnings. His most notable tournament cash would have to be his WSOPC win at Harrah's Chester in 2011. Rocco took home $16,888 for his first place finish, and the coveted ring that comes along with it.
Trevor Savage: Savage is one of biggest advocate of the Parx Poker Room and definitely would call this his home casino. Trevor is a mainstay in the 10/10 NL game that runs each day, but is no stranger to tournament play. He has over $368,000 in tournament career earnings, which includes a win in the first ever series run at Parx (Parx Open Classic). He took down $18,292 for his win in the $500 NL Hold'em Event, but it's the $3,300 2011 Borgata Winter Open Main Event where he'd get his largest score. Trevor took home $190,000 for his third place finish in that event.

Big Stax 1500: 6-Max Bust, PBS 1500 Run Up
Level 15 - Blinds 2,000/4,000/400
Alek Givotovsky (New York, NY) busted out of the $550 6-Max in 4th place only a few hours ago, and entered directly into Day 1A. He is now in contention for the end of night chip lead with over 340,000. He three bet out of the big blind to 100,000 (effectively putting the other player all-in). Alek told his new found table friend to let it go, but his opponent was stubborn and called. Alek's QQ never lost the lead against 99, and Divotovsky is looking for two deep runs in this series.

Level 15 - Blinds 2,000/4,000/400
We are seeing the familiar pros in the field ending the night on a upward trend. Dan Buzgon has chipped up to over 150,000, after just scooping a pot from Marvin Siegel with a turned full house. Both Jared Jaffee (360,000) and Matt Glantz (260,000) have hovered close to their peak points, while Marshall White (Boone, NC) is also seeing late success (just under 200,000).
After the end of this level the floor will verify the counts and we will post them for you. Day 1B of this event begins tomorrow at 11:00am.
