Brian Lemke just scooped a 80,000 pot to bring himself just under the 155,000 mark. It looks like the chip average right now is somewhere around the 115,000 mark.

Big Stax 1500 (Day 1A): Local Flare
Level 13 - Blinds 1,200/2,400/300
Andre Nyffeler (Mahwah, NJ)
We will always attract pros like Buzgon and Jaffee (as mentioned earlier) with these main events, but we also have players like Andre Nyffeler. During the WPT Parx Open Poker Classic (2012), Andre won the $1,000 NL Hold'em Bounty event for $24,065. He then parlayed that into a spot on the televised WPT final table, adding $61,619 to that two week run, being the first player eliminated that night (6th).
Big Stax 1500 (Day 1A): Player Profiles
Level 13 - Blinds 1,200/2,400/300
With the smaller sized field today, there is a really laid back feel in the clubhouse room. A lot a chatting, a lot of joking, and some really notable names mixing it up with the local grinders.
Dan Buzgon: Dan has over $1,000,000 in career tournaments earnings, most notably the WPT Borgata Fall Open (televised final table). Dan finished 3rd for $335,000, and since has gone on to make another WPT final table, and cash in numerous major events across the country.
Jared Jaffee: Jaffee is another tournament pro who has over $800,000 in career earnings. His most notable cash come from the WPT Bolixi in 2010, where he took home $247,000 for his 4th place finish (this is when the WPT were mostly $10,000 buy-ins).

Big Stax 500 (Day 3): 1st Place - Sandler ($51,796)
Mike Sandler (New York, NY)
Big Stax 500 Champion
$51,796
If there is anyway to end this heads up match, it would of course have to be a pretty sick hand. We caught the action on the turn:
Board: 5♣ 2♦ 7♠ 8♦
Mike Sandler had bet out 775,000 (pot already over 1,000,000), and Anderson thought for a few before making the call:
River: 7♦
Sandler now checked, and Anderson would now bet out just over 2,000,000. To James's surprise, Sandler check-raised all-in. James was really torn, taking off his glasses, and replaying the hand to himself. He put in a stack of yellow chip making the call, and Sandler tabled 7♣ 5♦ (rivered full house). James showed 6 9 (turned the nut straight), and with only 3,000,000 behind it was a call he almost had to make. Anderson was a class act in defeat, and his once again falls just short of a Big Stax trophy.
Big Stax 500 (Day 3): Sandler Picks Up Huge Pot
Level 28 - 75,000/150,000/25,000
On a board of A♠ 2♥ 4♥ 8♥ 4♣, Mike Sandler ships the river for 4,125,000 after Anderson checks. James goes into the tank for a while, before finally making the call. Sandler shows 2 4 for the rivered full house, and Mike now has 12,000,000 to Anderson's 6,000,000.

Big Stax 500 (Day 3): And Back Again
Level 28 - 75,000/150,000/25,000
Back we go again, as James Anderson doubles through Sandler (5,475,000 total), and Anderson now has close to a two to one chip lead.

Big Stax 500 (Day 3): Tables Turning
Level 28 - 75,000/150,000/50,000
Just as the six max has seen a shift in power, so has the heads up play in this event. Mike Sandler now has 12,000,000 to James Anderson's 6,800,000.

Big Stax $550 6-Max: Bowker Evening It Up
Level 19 - Blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000
Kyle Bowker was almost a 10 to 1 dog at the beginning of heads up play, and he has now evened the playing field:

Big Stax 500 (Day 3): 3rd Place - Lee ($19,726)
Level 28 - Blinds 75,000/150,000/25,000
Ed Lee (New York, NY)
3rd Place - $19,726
It took all of one hand back from break to get to heads up play. Lee pushed his remaining stack from the button, and Mike Sadler called out of the big blind. It would be all but over on the flop:
Lee: A♠ 7♠ Sandler: A♣ K♠
Flop: K♣ 6♦ K♥
Turn: 10♥
River: 10♦
Big Stax 500 (Day 3): Play To Resume Shortly
Players are about to start (earlier than expected), and they will be playing Level 28 with blinds of 75,000/150,000/25,000.

Big Stax 500 (Day 3): 5th Place - Paster ($10,834)
Level 27 - Blinds 50,000/100,000/10,000
Jason Paster (Yardley, PA)
5th Place - $10,834
Only two hands after Faro has busted, we were called over to the table as there was an all-in and a call. It was the A♠ 3♠ of Jason Paster against the A♣ K♠ of Mike Sandler. The board ran out:
Flop: 6♣ Q♣ 7♥
Turn: 3♥
River: K♣
Paster seemed to have hit gin on the turn, but would watch it be taken away from him on the river. Paster had a super swingy day at the final table, but takes home a nice pay day for his three days of work.
Big Stax 500 (Day 3): 6th Place - Faro ($8,525)
Level 27 - Blinds 50,000/100,000/10,000
Tim Faro (Glen Burnie, MD)
6th Place - $8,525
Alex Queen opened the pot UTG, and was called by Mike Sandler and Tim Faro (from the small blind). The flop came out 9♣ 2♥ 3♠, Faro and Queen both checked, and Sandler bet out 300,000. Faro then raised all-in (for about 1,000,000 more), and Alex folded behind. Sandler made the call and it was the A♠A♣ of Sandler against the 10♦10♣ of Faro. The turn (2) and river (5) were no help to Faro and he would be sent home in 6th place.
Big Stax 500 (Day 3): Break Time...Chip Counts

Big Stax 500 (Day 3): 7th Place - Coren ($6,993)
Level 26 - Blinds 30,000/60,000/10,000
Ben Coren (Lansdale, PA)
7th Place - $6,993
Ben Coren's improbable run was just that, as his dream of a "chip and a chair" fell short. On a flop of K Q 10, his shove was called by Mike Sandler (holding K 2). Coren showed 10 9, and he would need to come from behind, but could not find help. Coren is part of a group called Team Counterfeit, who donates 1% of their winnings to helping pancreatic cancer. It's a noble thing to do, and he wishes he could of donated 1% of $52,000, but that will have to wait until another day.
Big Stax 500 (Day 3): Who Are The Shorties?

Ben Coren doubles once more, taking himself over 1,000,000 from the 100,000 he had earlier. Tim Faro became the short stack with about 600,000, but has just doubled through James Anderson, and sits on over 1,000,000 as well.

Big Stax $550 6-Max: Ippolito First Out
Level 16 - Blinds 2,500/5,000/500
Peter Ippolito has just been knocked out by Joseph Commisso, but it was an all-in hand versus Justin Liberto about ten minutes prior that would cripple him. Eight players now remain, and once we lose one more we will be at the final table.

Big Stax 500 (Day 3): Reid Doubles...And Now In Trouble
Level 25 - Blinds 20,000/40,000/5,000
Ben Coren has doubled through Mike Sandler to over 1,000,000, but just lost a sizable pot to Jason Paster. Paster three-bet Coren pre, and Ben was pretty chatty before making the call, saying to Jason "Let's see a flop." The flop ran out J 3 5, and Jason checked to Coren, who bet 300,000. Paster then declared himself all-in, and Coren folded after a few moments.
Jason Paster - 4,400,000
Ben Coren - 500,000
Big Stax 500 (Day 3): 8th Place - Wu ($5,504)
Level 25 - Blinds 20,000/40,000/5,000
Yao Wu (New York, NY)
8th Place - $5,504
The second of our short stacks that we mentioned earlier is now out as well, as his AK ran into the QQ of Alex Queen. Things are going to form so far today as the shortest stacks coming in are the first two to exit the final table.
Big Stax $550 6-Max: Break Time
Players are on a (10) minute break, with the blinds increasing to 2,500/5,000/500 when they come back. We still have the field remaining that started the day.
Big Stax 500 (Day 3): 9th Place - Reid ($4,165)
Level 25 - Blinds 20,000/40,000/5,000
Britt Reid (Robbinsville, NJ)
9th Place - $4,165
Britt was the shortest stack at the table, and open shoved his last 295,000. Mike Sandler called him from the cut off, and Reid would be in better shape than he could of hoped:
Reid: A♦ K♣ Sandler: K♥ 7♥
Flop: 7♦ 4♣ 4♠
Turn: 5♣
River: 6♥
Big Stax 500 (Day 3): Shorties
Level 25 - Blinds 20,000/40,000/5,000
There are currently two players that are either hovering around, or below, the dreaded ten big blind mark. Britt Reid sits with about 370,000, while Yao Wu is at 600,000.

Satish had raised all-in for another 600,000, and Lee was in the tank for a few minutes. He finally decided to make the call, and Satish had the defeated look on his face. Lee tabled K K for the win, and he would chip up to 2,600,000.

Jason Paster - 2,300,000
Ben Coren - 800,000
