Big Stax 300: Stormin' Norman

While players were on break, a crowd began to gather around Table 66.  We walked over to the table to see the board:

A 5♠ 6 J♠ 5♠

The pot was about 100,000, and Norman Rogers was facing a 76,000 bet on the river from his opponent.  Rogers was sitting on about 230,000 to start the hand, and would be taking a huge hit if he called an lost.  Norman tanked for about 7-8 minutes and finally decided to make the call.  His opponent muttered, "Queen high."  Rogers flipped over 10 6♠, making a huge call and taking down a very sizable pot.

The players who stayed to watch the hang were shocked by the outcome, and continued to discuss the hand as they went on a shorter break than anticipated.

Players are now back from break, and ready to play out the night.
