Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): Time To Count Em' Up
Play has concluded for Day 1C, and once the chips are bagged and verified, all of the numbers in relation to the upcoming Day 2 will be posted on the site.
Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): Eng-in Around
Level 16 - Blinds 2,500/5,000/500
Gordon Eng was sitting on a stack of less than (20) blinds, and then everything changed once Gordon got his Parx Big Stax hat from the series hat swap. He now sits with over 340,000, and is putting himself in great shape going into Day 2. Each time Gordon wins a hand now, someone at the table says "It has got to be the hat." Some good cards and good run probably helps more, but we'll stick with the hat story.

Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): Last Chance To Dance
Level 16 just started (last level of the night), with the blinds increasing to 2,500/5,000/500. There have been a surprising amount of players who are entering right now with (6) big blinds, trying to run it up and bag chips for tomorrow.

Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): Closing Time Near
Level 15 - Blinds 2,000/4,000/500
Players are back from break, and the time to register or re-enter in this event is drawing to a close. There are currently 950 entries total, so it looks as if the 1,000 entry mark will fall a little short, but there are many people who are busting and going right back to the cage.
Once the night is over, we will bring you the end of Day 1C chip counts, as well as a combined field list. We will also post the table draws for tomorrow, and bring you all the information you want to know related to the tournament.

Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): Donk Hand
Level 13 - Blinds 1,200/2,400/300
Passing Table 72, Chris VanDeursen called over and said we had to get his "donk hand" on the blog. Pat Lavecchia had flopped a straight, and called Chris's all-in on the turn. VanDeursen show a pair and a flush draw, and spiked the diamond flush on the river. Lavecchia had him covered, but is crippled with a stack below starting:
Chris VanDeursen - 170,000
Pat Lavecchia - 19,000
